RAMBLE TERRACE HOME ON HALLETT COURT
The home is situated between two taller homes on sloping land. The design strategy was to organize a series of courts unfolding on multiple terraces. Enclosed spaces and architectural elements were strategically placed within the open spaces to create apertures through the home. This allows light to filter through the finely crafted steel stair and into both levels. Motorized blinds have been recessed into the ceiling for privacy as desired. The fine plaster walls feature minimalist picture hanging tracks. A concealed sliding wall at the lower level opens to create a guest room. Terrace home exceeds Energy Star requirements, and is probably the smallest residence in the Ramble.
